GLOBE — High school sports would not be the same without the cheers from the sidelines. And who knows this better than the girls of the Globe Tiger spirit line!

Captain Magan Hart (senior), Stacie Ramos (senior), Tori Wright (sophomore), Madi McBride (freshman), Kristin Dotts (freshman), Alexis Salter (freshman), and Kim Ortega (freshman) make up the smiling faces of this year’s Globe Tiger varsity spirit line.

Captain Magan Hart, who has been with the squad for the last three years, said she is very excited about the upcoming school year. “We have been working very hard in preparation for the start of the season.”

This year the spirit line is also working together with the band on more cooperation between the two for sideline entertainment during games.

All the girls participated in a cheer camp July 26 through July 30 at Lucinda’s Tap Into It dance school, where they worked on various dance routines. The dance studio gave them the excellent opportunity to work in front of mirrors to help improve coordination and sharpen moves.

The hours of hard work put in by the girls will pay off when the spirit line dazzles the crowd and fires up the fans during halftime shows.

Captain Hart did not want to leak too many details before the official start of the season, but did divulge that there will a special show for Homecoming, when the Class of 1985 will be celebrating its 25th class reunion.

The spirit line is under the guidance of Coach Tracy Miller.
