The San Carlos softball won one of three games last week. The Lady Braves defeated Miami 12-11 on March 9, while they lost 15-4 to Alchesay and 22-4 to Globe. San Carlos hosts San Miguel on March 21.

Peridot man sentenced to 45 months in prison

Angelina Arguello retires as bus driver

Angelina Arguello recently retired from the San Carlos Unified School District. She was a school bus driver for SCUSD for seven years and spent a total of 29 years in the school system.

Alchesay ends Braves’ season in state semifinals

San Carlos' Leo Pechuli, Jr. drives to the basket during Friday's Division 2A state semifinal between the San Carlos Braves and the Alchesay Falcons. The No. 2 Falcons defeated the No. 3 Braves, 64-46. Alchesay went on to lose 66-51 to No. 5 Gilbert Christian in the state championship game. Congratulations to both teams on great seasons.
