The Pinewood Derby will be held Saturday, March 23 at the Miami High School Gym.
All Cub Scouts, siblings, friends and adults are invited to participate. A registration fee of $5 for each car entered is due at check-in on Saturday.
Doors open at 8 a.m. and all racers can start check-in at 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the Gym. Racing will start at 10 a.m.
There will be separate heats for Tigers, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and the ever-popular Open Class. The top winners from each class will be awarded a trophy with Grand Champion Scouts receiving medals. The Open Class is for all others, including adults.
Parents and leaders will be needed to assist with various race day operations, which include judges, starters, registrars and inspectors.
To purchase car kits locally, go to the Globe Public Library at 339 S. Broad St.
