The rummage sale held at the Gila County Historical Museum on April 17 was a huge success. We partnered with the Globe Friends of the Library, who were very helpful with advertising, setup and pricing. The Homeless Coalition donated items left over from their sale earlier in the month. The High Desert Humane Society will take the leftover items to sell in their thrift and furniture store.
Thank you very much to all the people in the community who gave items to sell. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped price, set up and tear down. Thank you to Kenneth for having hot dogs and drinks to keep us energized. Thank you to the JROTC and the LDS missionaries who were there to help us set up, organize and tear down.
The museum appreciates everyone’s help in making this a successful event. We are a non-profit organization, so every event we hold helps us continue our mission to preserve our local history.
