Down two starters in their regular-season finale against the Leading Edge Academy Spartans last week, the San Carlos Braves fell 71-32.
“We played a better second half defensively and showed a little more patience offensively,” said San Carlos head coach Terry Antonio. “We tried to get it to the guys who are capable of scoring.”
The Braves finished the regular season 11-14 and 4-6 in region play.
The Braves will play today, Wednesday, in the 2A South region tournament against an opponent to be determined.
“We have to be better than whoever our opponent is,” said Antonio. “We should have two good days of practice and then we will see what happens. It’s a good competitive league with good competition. We could have easily been second place if we won some of those close games, but we are still in it.”
