Dairy Queen is making a splash

Posted

On July 14, just after the Globe Rotary Meeting, Dairy Queen’s Mickie Nye and his daughter Michelle Nabor made a donation to the Cobre Valley Regional Aquatic Center in the amount of $10,000 with an additional $1,000 per year once it is operational.
“We believe in being part of the change we want to see in our community. Dairy Queen, Michelle and I support efforts like this – to improve the quality of life for the residents who have been so good to us,” Nye said.
“Please say ‘thank you’ to Mickie Nye, his daughter Michelle and the rest of the staff when you pick up your favorite Dairy Queen treat. They are making a splash in our community and we are all grateful,” said the Cobre Valley Regional Aquatic Center Committee. “With matching funds from CVRMC, we now have $20,000. Please watch in the next few days how you can make a splash, too, as we begin our fundraising efforts.”
