Jerry Lee Tipsword passed away at St Joseph’s hospital, in Tucson on Sept. 2, 2019.

He was born March 19, 1953. To Gerald Lee and Connie Tipsword. He was the eldest of six siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Tommy Tipsword, Mike Blue and nephew Nicholas Tipsword. He is survived by his sisters Karen Tipsword, Judy Hagemeier (Verne), Zoë Farren, Kathy Blue and brother Homer Tipsword. Nephews: Mitchell, Justin, Steve, Joey, Zachary, Ryan and Mathew. Nieces: Amy, Jennifer, Esther, Jamie, Emily Ann and Amadee. three great nieces and three great nephews.

Jerry was someone who really loved life and lived it on his own terms. He was an amazing cook and was a chef in everything.

He worked in some of the busiest kitchens in Arizona and Nevada. He was what people call in his business an opener.

He would be hired to set up and open restaurants for them.

He helped design and reopen the Apache Lake resort after a big remodel of the entire facility.

He loved the great outdoors especially the great wilderness of Arizona. He was an avid and responsible hunter and fisherman and always looking to hitting the trails, lakes and streams in pursuit of those adventures.

He had an amazing memory for hard rock and classic rock songs. He could tell you the title and the name of the band and even throw in some trivia.

Jerry would give you the shirt off his back if asked. He lived a simple life.
