Joseph Franklin Llewellyn was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Hull, Ga. and died from diabetes Jan. 8, 2019 in Globe, Ariz.

Joe graduated from high school in Marietta, Ga. and then joined the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam.

Joe became an electrician and worked in that compacity in Georgia and later in the local area in the mining industry. He then attended the police academy and became a Gila County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Joe returned to school and graduated from Northern Arizona University and worked for the Arizona Department of Economic Security as a counselor; then he retired.

Joe loved to sing along with the Doobies and Roy Orbison, “Amazing Grace” was his favorite song.

Joe was proceeded in death by his parents, Lucy and Olin, and brother Donald. Surviving him are his wife, Lana; his children, Christopher, Jason, Matthew and Amber; his grandchildren, Peri, Isabel and Landon; his siblings, Tony, JoAnn, Theresa, Sandra and David; special friends, Hank, Paul and Steve.

In lieu of a public service, remember Joe in your own private way. His ashes will be spread in various places that he enjoyed in Georgia and Arizona.
