Miami Police Department received a call on Sunday, Feb. 18 reporting shots fired. Miami Police Chief Preston on was the first on scene and called for assistance. Gila County Sheriff’s Department responded with three officers.
Officers tried to negotiate with the suspect, after negotiations failed, the suspect then pointed the gun at officers and they were forced to reduce the threat. The suspect was transported to a hospital out of the area and Pinal County is handling the investigation.
