Thanks to the Golden Oldies Car Club from Support Our Servicemen and women

EDITOR: Guys, we really appreciate you. We have been sending care packages to our Gila County men and women stationed in Afghanistan and other faraway places for more than 12 years now, and they are appreciative. It is heartwarming to them to receive a package from “home.”

Thank you for your continuing support.

Halloween is over. Do you have any bags or partial bags of candy left over, because the little kids went downtown? Did your kiddos come home with way too much, and you aside some of it because it is too much of a good thing?

We have a solution! SOS (Support Our Servicemen and women), would love to pack it into our next shipment of boxes for our Gila County soldiers serving in faraway places. These Peace Keepers, our “big kids”, really look forward to these packages from us.

Once again, United Jewelry has volunteered to be a collection site for leftover candy, or, you may drop off candy at the Chamber of Commerce with Chris Brusca. If you attend Gila Community College, candy may be dropped off at the Gym, and we will get it to SOS.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Pat Brink, president; Pearl Nancarrow, secretary; and everyone who helps with packing boxes with us for SOS.
