Globe High School opened the 2023-24 varsity basketball season last Thursday, as the girls’ and boys’ teams hosted Willcox High School. In the early game, the Lady Tigers fell 71-43. Willcox then came away with a victory over the Tigers, winning 56-45. At press time, no statistics had been posted for either game.

Next up for the Tigers is the Joe Partain Memorial Classic at Coolidge High School, November 24-25. Globe will play the Douglas Bulldogs and Lee Williams Volunteers on Friday the 24th, and the Canyon Del Oro Dorado and Nogales Apaches on Saturday the 25th.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will begin Section 3A South Central play on Tuesday, November 28, with home games against Valley Christian.
